Hello, my name is Sharon, and I have a passion for helping people. Tutoring is my specialty, especially taking complex ideas and breaking them down into words and steps that are easy to understand.
Learning something new each day inspires me to teach others. During my day job, I am the go-to person for all things’ computer related. That is why I created this website to help others learn and grow. It is very exciting to see a website grow and develop over time.
My mission in life is to help as many people as I possibly can to learn how to make the most of today’s technology and build their own business online. Here is my story.
Working on the Family Farm
My passion for running my own business started as a young child. We had a family garden that was the size of 5 acres. This garden produced enough food for our family and plenty of extra to sell at a roadside farmers market. I earned enough money to buy all my own school clothes and even take a trip to Europe during my Junior year of high school.
One of the things that the family garden taught me was that it takes effort and hard work to make money. You need to plant the seeds, pull the weeds and sell the product. This same principle applies to your own business. Even though the work can be hard, it is very enjoyable and can be more rewarding than working for others. The rewards for putting time and effort into growing your own business every day can be very profitable.
My Offline Business – Teaching Science to Children
For over 15 years I created and maintained a Hands-On Science Museum for Children with my husband. We were self-employed and worked hard. We created over 50 exhibits that would fill a gym and taught many children the wonders of science. You could say I was the chief cook, bottle washer and everything in between.
Again this was hard work, we had to create, maintain and then sell our program to schools. We enjoyed the work and creativity that went into our exhibits. Around the year 2000, my husband/business partner had some health issues that prevented him from continuing this project so we started a different path.
Working for a Weekly Paycheck
Since we still needed money to live on, I decided to join the business world and get a weekly paycheck. I became a remodeling project manager assistant, juggling schedules, projects and computer technology. I still worked hard, but there was a limit on how much I could earn per hour. During this time, I studied hard to learn as much as I could about today’s technology.

I wanted more for myself and my family so I jumped into the online world part-time while working my full-time job. In 2005, I started writing for eHow and Demand Studios and that’s when I discovered my passion for helping people and explaining how to do things. Most of my assignments were to write How-To Articles for Business’. It was easy for me and very rewarding.
In 2011, I discovered Wealthy Affiliate. They taught me how to create my own website and write for myself. The rewards for my work were even larger than imagined. This was and still is the best place to learn everything that one needs to build an online business. Every online business starts with a website. The good news is that today it is easier than ever to create a website and work online.
My Future Story
I’m looking forward to retiring with the extra income I am earning from my online business. What I know for sure is that my Social Security income will not be enough to cover how I want to live. Working on growing my own small online business will bring opportunities for many years to come.
There are so many things in this world to enjoy. Spending time with my grandchildren, traveling to new places, and helping people have a better life are a few reasons I embrace being part of today’s online business world.
